The Electric Is Getting Hooked Up So Why Don't People Have Lights?

We spent another evening in Pascagoula, Ms. serving meals to the community. If you've never done this, this is a feeling you've just got to experience. Everyone is so grateful to (as they put it) eat a "real" meal. Last night's meal was barbeque chicken, baked potatoes, green beans, rolls, dessert.
They are telling us in Pascagoula that some more of the power will be on Friday or Saturday. This sounds great, however it doesn't mean much to the thousands who need carpet pulled out, furniture removed, drywall torn down and outlets rewired before they can even think about having electric at their houses. This is just one town....there are many more just like it. If you are able to come and volunteer whether you're skilled in these areas or not you can be used to help these people and further HIS Kingdom. Many of them could just use a hug and know you are praying for them.
Mark and I are going to the Bayou La Batre area today to see what can be done for this community. We'll let you know more in the next blog.
